BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore City Fire officials said five families were displaced after multiple homes caught fire Sunday afternoon in Baltimore.
Firefighters responded to reports of a multi-home fire in the 3400 block of East Baltimore Street. BCFD found visible flames and smoke emitting from three of the homes.
The Baltimore City Fire Department has issued a third alarm in response.
Authorities closed the 3400 block of East Baltimore Street to all traffic as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
The fire was contained shortly after 3:15 p.m.
A total of five homes were involved, with five families totaling approximately 12 people displaced.
No injuries were reported, officials say; however, Red Cross & DHCD Emergency services are working with the families to provide services.
